THE UNITED NATIONS STRATEGIC LEARNING EXCHANGES ON RELIGION- DEVELOPMENT AND DIPLOMACY: Focus on Development and Humanitarian Partnerships

During November 27-29, the United Nations Interagency Task Force on Religion and Development (chaired by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)) convened the first Asia-Pacific Regional United Nations Strategic Learning Exchange (SLE) on Religion and Diplomacy, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Pokja Ecology & Religion / NICMCR, together with the Center for Religious and Cross-cultural Studies Graduate School, Gadjah Mada University (CRCS UGM) and the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) were the national cohosting partners of the event

Conference on “Water in times of Climate Change”
VU, Amsterdam

Pokja members will participate in an international conference on ‘Water in Times of Climate Change. A Value-driven Dialogue’. This conference is hosted by the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in collaboration with the United Nations, the cities of Amsterdam, Cape Town, and Jakarta, and partners from
business, religion, government, and NGOs.

Living Lab Indonesia Platform
CRCS UGM, Yogyakarta

Pokja members participated in an international conference at CRCS Yogyakarta organized by the Living Lab Indonesia Platform, a Netherlands – Indonesia network of universities and non-governmental organizations working on water-related issues. Pokja Ecology and religion is considered a Living Lab working on ‘overarching themes’.
